Carménère is an ancient variety of Cabernet Franc, once widely cultivated throughout Montello, the Asolo Hills, and the province of Treviso.
Characteristics
Carménère is a full-bodied red wine, noted for its refined, spicy bouquet and complex, elegant structure. This is achieved through full grape ripening, careful selection of bunches during harvest, and extended aging in wood.
